Hi, I’m Todd Johnson — a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in Leawood, Kansas. I specialize in helping individuals, families, and couples navigate ADHD, parenting challenges, anxiety, and relational stress.
I hold a degree in Religious Education from Missouri Baptist University, which enriched my understanding of human values and the spiritual dimension of life. Further, I earned a Master of Arts in Counseling from MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe, Kansas, equipping me with the expertise to help individuals and families navigate life's challenges.Prairie View Counseling LLC
My journey in Kansas began when I moved to Olathe after completing my college education, working as a youth pastor. Over the years, I've developed a deep connection with this community, and while I cherish my hometown of St. Louis and my roots in Olathe, I'm eager to serve clients from across Johnson County and the vibrant Kansas City area.Prairie View Counseling LLC
As a husband, a dad, and someone who lives with ADHD, this work is personal to me. I understand what it’s like to juggle responsibilities, manage stress, and feel like you’re constantly playing catch-up. My goal is to help you feel understood, empowered, and equipped — with tools that actually work in your real life.
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I’m passionate about the intersection of relationships, neurodiversity, and emotional wellness. Much of my work centers around ADHD — not just the clinical side, but the way it affects families, marriages, parenting, and day-to-day functioning.

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I’m passionate about the intersection of relationships, neurodiversity, and emotional wellness. Much of my work centers around ADHD — not just the clinical side, but the way it affects families, marriages, parenting, and day-to-day functioning.
I’m particularly interested in helping clients understand the “why” behind their struggles — whether it’s emotional regulation, executive functioning, communication breakdowns, or chronic stress — and then working together to create tools that actually fit their life.
I’m a clinical member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) and continue to pursue ongoing training in areas like ADHD-informed care, family systems theory, and integrative approaches to therapy. My approach is grounded, strategic, and always focused on helping clients feel both supported and empowered.
Outside the therapy room, I’m a husband, a dad, and a Golden Retriever guy — our two Goldens are basically part of the family brand. I’m a lifelong St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs fan, and yes, there’s probably a game on in the background if I’m not cooking something on the Blackstone or smoking a brisket on the Traeger.
I love

I love spending time with my family at Disney World (we’re those people who have the maps memorized), and I’ve got a not-so-secret Star Wars obsession — you’ll spot a few Easter eggs if you visit my office.
Faith is central to how I live and work. I’m actively involved in my church community and believe in showing up for people — locally and globally. Each year, I run with Team World Vision to help bring clean water to communities in need around the world. It’s one of the ways I stay connected to something bigger than myself.
When life slows down, you’ll find me enjoying a good café mocha or a glass of bourbon, walking the dogs, reading, or playing a board game with my daughter. Sometimes I’m even lucky enough to remember why I walked into a room in the first place.
Real life keeps me grounded — and it’s a big part of why I do this work the way I do.
