No, I do not accept insurance and operate as a private pay practice. This allows us to focus fully on your goals, not on diagnosis codes or treatment limitations set by insurance companies. I’ve chosen this model to maintain greater flexibility, protect your confidentiality, and keep therapy centered around your needs — not insurance requirements.
If your plan offers out-of-network benefits, I’m happy to provide a superbill upon request. Many clients use this to seek reimbursement directly from their insurance provider. Be sure to check with your insurance company to understand what’s covered and how to submit claims.
The rate for initial intake appointments is $165, as these sessions involve a more in-depth review of history, goals, and planning.
My standard rate for ongoing therapy is $125 per 50-minute session.
Extended sessions, typically 75 minutes, are billed at $175 and are used when additional time is needed — especially for couples or family work.
All clients are required to keep a credit card or HSA card on file, which is automatically billed after each session, unless other arrangements are made in advance. This policy keeps our time focused on therapy — not on billing.
If you have questions about fees or payment logistics, feel free to reach out.
Most sessions are 50 minutes long, which is standard for individual, couples, and family therapy. In some cases — especially for couples or families with multiple people involved — I may recommend an extended 75-minute session to give everyone the time and space they need.
As for frequency, it depends on your needs and goals. Many clients begin with weekly sessions to build momentum. As progress develops, we may move to biweekly or monthly check-ins. We’ll figure out what rhythm works best for your life, your schedule, and your growth.
Add an answYes — I regularly work with children (typically age 6 and up) and teens on issues like ADHD, anxiety, emotional regulation, motivation, and school challenges. Parent involvement is a key part of the process, and I’ll work closely with you to support your child’s growth both in and outside of sessions.er to this item.
Absolutely. Especially when working with kids and teens, parents play a vital role. Depending on your child’s age and needs, I may meet with you first, involve you in parts of the session, or schedule separate parent coaching sessions. My goal is to support the whole family system — not just the child.
Add an answer to this item.Yes, I offer virtual sessions for clients anywhere in Kansas. While in-person sessions are often ideal — especially for kids, teens, and families — virtual therapy is a flexible and effective option for many individuals and parents. We can discuss what works best for your needs.
Yes. Everything you share in therapy is kept private and confidential, in accordance with HIPAA laws and professional ethical standards.
The only exceptions are situations where I am legally required to break confidentiality to keep you or someone else safe — including threats of harm to self or others, suspected abuse of a minor or vulnerable adult, or a court order.
We’ll go over this in more detail during your first session so you know exactly what to expect.
I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a session. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice — or missed appointments — may be charged the full session fee.
I get that life happens, especially with families, so if something comes up unexpectedly, please reach out as soon as you can. We’ll do our best to find a time that works.
Yes — if faith is important to you, I’m happy to integrate a Christian or spiritually grounded perspective into therapy. It’s never forced, but always available if it’s part of how you make meaning and seek growth.
That’s totally okay. I offer a no-pressure initial consultation (by phone or email) to help you figure out if this feels like a good fit. Therapy only works when there’s trust and connection, and we’ll talk through what you’re looking for before you commit to anything
